Quick Guide To Our Activities
The Nano-Optics group is part of the Laboratory of Physical Chemistry at the Chemistry Department of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). Our research interest encompasses all that has to do with the study of the interaction of light and matter at the nanometer scale. Most of the problems that one attacks in nano-optics these days have been already topics of research for decades, but the explosion of scanning probe techniques, single molecule detection as well as the revival of high resolution optical microscopy in the 1990s have added a new dimension and a fresh approach to them.
